Run this race (called life) to

1 Corinthians 9:24 "Do you not know that in a race, all the runners run, but only one recieves the prize? So Run that you may obtain it.

I know for all of us, we are all running or moving trying to move forward in life to obtain something. Maybe for you, you are going throughout your daily life to earn a good education or work at your job to get a good education. Whatever your condition, you are striving for something in life.

Maybe you are striving to improve yourself physically, or master how to walk again. Maybre you are conditioning yourself for a race. Maybe you are trying to be a good spouse or father or mother.

I know, for me, I have had to discipline myself in my efforts to become a better young man and a discplined and successful young man, regardless of my physical condition. Even though I may have suffered a severe head injury and was paralyzed, had very little cognitive capabilities, I have had to daily choose to fight and discipline myself to push past the "limitations" which may have been put on me through people's words, diagnoses, or anything else which may have hindered me. I have had to not believe lies that I am considered "disabled".  I have kept this verse as a motivator for me and pushed past many "limitations" and through God's help and the my faith in Jesus Christ I have successfully arrived at Liberty UNiversity today.

Maybe you're trying to run this "race" called life, yet you feel competely unable to truly make any real accomplishments.

A long time ago, I had to realize that if I am going to have sny real success in life, I had to make many different descions that may have caused me to get out of my comfort zone or made me feel uncomfortable. There will always be situations that will arise in your life, and if you truly want to succeed and/o grow as a person you will have to face your fears.

I have had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ since I was about 6, and there is no way I would be where I am today without Christ in my life. Yes, you need to learn to push past your fears and take risks in life, but you need Christ in your life if you are going to have any real success.   Many people are completely  exhausted in life because they keep trying to strive to succeed on their own. Their is a deep emptiness in each of us, and many people will do everything they can to fill that emptiness. I challenge you to believe in Christ and trust Him as your savior. Find a local church to get connected to. We were created for a purpose, and that purpose is to have an eternal relationship with Jesus Christ, the only Person who will ever truly satisfy the emptiness that causes so many people to live their lives in misery and isolation.

Run and discipline yourself to obtain the prize

1 Corinthians 9:24 The Need for Self-Discipline ] Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.
This verse has been one of the main verses that has kept me motivated throughout the past seven years. I have had this and many verses to give me strength as I journeyed from being paralyzed and at a kindergardener's reading comprehension to barely walking with a cane and struggling with small puzzles to eventually walking without assistance unsteadilly down the hallway of Carolinas medical center on my discharge day and going home still work
ing on small grade level puzzles.
Still as I came home this verse motivated me and inspired me to motivate others. I "pressed on" and gained hope though verses like PHilippians 3:14, "I press toward the goal of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus" and PHilippians 4;13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Christ has given me strength, healed my body, and now I am trianing for a triathlon team and working on my bachelors in health science and family studies.

Maybe you're a tbi survivor. Maybe you're a cancer survivor. Maybe you have been devastated by divorce. Maybe you have lost all hope because of  some kind of A disabillity, or maybe a death of a loved one has left you completely hopeless.

It's no coincidence you're reading this blog. God wants you to know that only through HIm, you can "Press on". YOu can "obtain the prize" and you can "Do all things thorugh Christ who strengthens you" through placing your trust and faith in Christ and what He did for you. There is hope. There is healing. You were created for a purpose, but sometimes life can be extremely difficult and cause us to loose sight of the fact that we have a purpose in this life. OUtside of
Christ, life may seem dismal and hopeless, but I assure you, once you experience the love of
God in Christ Jesus, You will never, ever be the same. God's love is so real, so tangible, and so powerful. In my own life, no doctor, nurse, psychologist, or any medication has truly been the source of my success in life.

What will you choose today? Life or death? Romans 10:13, "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved. Cry out to Him for help. Ask HIm for forgiveness. I assure you, He will answer. Talk with a pastor of a local church. Phillippia2:5,6,7 "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus. 6 Who, although being essentially one with God and in the form of  God, did not think this equality with God was a thing to be eagerly grasped or retained. But stripped Himself of all privileges and rightful  dignity, so as to assume the guise of a servant (slave), in that He became man and was born human being."

I think for all of us, whether tbi survivor, or for anyone, this profound truth of humility can and should teach us the ultimate example of humility. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was and is essentially God. Yet He refused to stay in heaven in perfect splendor. Rather, he laid His life down for mankind and came to this earth to redeem HIs children. He did it because of love. He had no selfish motive, only love.
how can you respond to someone in love today? How can you lay your own agenda down today, and how can you look to meet someone else's needs today.

Maybe you have no idea what it is like to abide in the love of God. I challenge you to surrender your life to Christ in faith and belief. Email me at qualityoflifewill374@ymail.com. God is waiting with open arms to save you and welcome you into His kingdom. Romans 10:9, "That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved"

I am about to go to Liberty University. I think its interesting that I have really had to push past a lot of different fears and labels people had placed on me to get to where I am today. 2 Timothy 1:6 says, "He has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind." I have had to push past many many different fears about going to Liberty. Also I have pushed past many labels people put on me. Some professionals in the medical field said I should go to a specialized university for handicapped peoples. Some said I wasn't ready for college and needed to rest. Many people today are bound up by fear and are unable to go forward in life because a medical professional or psychological professional pronounced some kind of negative diagnosis over their life.

I challenge you today to evaluate your own life. Are you walking in power? Are you walking in fear or weakness. Has somebody or a group of people told you something negative that has caused you to believe the lie that you can't overcome your circumstances?

Figure out what lies you are believing that keep you held back and come out of agreement with them.

Maybe you have no clue what it means to walk in the "power" that Christ gives His children. If this is you, I challenge you to email me before you do anything else.

In Romans 6:23, Paul said "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life."

Are you walking around with eternal life or are you walking under the weight of sin?

Romans 10:9 "That if you will believe in your heart and confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, You will be saved."
