Run and discipline yourself to obtain the prize

1 Corinthians 9:24 The Need for Self-Discipline ] Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.
This verse has been one of the main verses that has kept me motivated throughout the past seven years. I have had this and many verses to give me strength as I journeyed from being paralyzed and at a kindergardener's reading comprehension to barely walking with a cane and struggling with small puzzles to eventually walking without assistance unsteadilly down the hallway of Carolinas medical center on my discharge day and going home still work
ing on small grade level puzzles.
Still as I came home this verse motivated me and inspired me to motivate others. I "pressed on" and gained hope though verses like PHilippians 3:14, "I press toward the goal of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus" and PHilippians 4;13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Christ has given me strength, healed my body, and now I am trianing for a triathlon team and working on my bachelors in health science and family studies.

Maybe you're a tbi survivor. Maybe you're a cancer survivor. Maybe you have been devastated by divorce. Maybe you have lost all hope because of  some kind of A disabillity, or maybe a death of a loved one has left you completely hopeless.

It's no coincidence you're reading this blog. God wants you to know that only through HIm, you can "Press on". YOu can "obtain the prize" and you can "Do all things thorugh Christ who strengthens you" through placing your trust and faith in Christ and what He did for you. There is hope. There is healing. You were created for a purpose, but sometimes life can be extremely difficult and cause us to loose sight of the fact that we have a purpose in this life. OUtside of
Christ, life may seem dismal and hopeless, but I assure you, once you experience the love of
God in Christ Jesus, You will never, ever be the same. God's love is so real, so tangible, and so powerful. In my own life, no doctor, nurse, psychologist, or any medication has truly been the source of my success in life.

What will you choose today? Life or death? Romans 10:13, "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved. Cry out to Him for help. Ask HIm for forgiveness. I assure you, He will answer. Talk with a pastor of a local church.
