Escape The Thief

John 10:9,10 , "9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.[a] They will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."

Jesus came to this earth and died for you so that you could have abundant life and salvation from your sins when you place your faith in Jesus Christ.

Today you may struggle with feeling hopeless, lost, broken, or worthless. You see, satan wants to steal your joy, your peace, your purpose, your fulfillment. Satan wants to take peace in your family away; His goal is to cause you to lose your fulfillment and happiness in life. He wants you to lose your sense of peace in your life.

But Christ came to save you from all that. Christ came to give you freedom from pain, a broken family, and to give you peace.

The key is that you have to want the change. You must allow Christ's love into your heart.

You must forgive the people who have hurt you.To break the negative patterns in your life, you must choose to forgive your family members, friends, for how they may have hurt you or how they are hurting you.  Accept Christ's love into your heart today and choose to give that love to others by choosing to forgive all who have wronged or hurt you.

Romans 8:38,39 says, "
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”[j]
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[k] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Today, accept Christ's love and choose to walk in His love towards all people.

Desiring You to Come To Salvatoin, Purpose In Christ

2 Peter 3:8,9

"But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."

God wants you to come to salvation through placing your faith and trust in Jesus Christ and what He did for you on the cross of Calvary. No matter what you have done, God will forgive you.
Guess what people! God is full of grace, love, goodness, hope. God wants you to come to Him and find Salvation, Purpose, Freedom from your sins. Christ wants to give you hope today. Christ wants to transform your hopeless condition into a condition of hope, peace, prosperity, joy.

Maybe you woke up today and were depressed because you did not believe your life was going anywhere. Maybe your spouse just left or you just lost your job. Maybe your spouse or parent beats you or your children or siblings everyday. Maybe your parents barely have enough money to put food on the table. Maybe you just lost your house or car.

Maybe, like I was several years ago, you were in a car accident and now you are greatly disabled.

Whatever hopeless, hurting situation you are in today, Christ wants to give you hope, peace, salvation.

Give your life to Christ today. Trust in him to save you from your sins by placing your faith and trust in Him. Ask Christ to become the Lord of your life today and choose to follow Him from this day forward.

Maybe your life is a wreck. Maybe you have a relationship with Christ, but you feel distant from him. Choose to honor Christ today and trust in His plan for your life. Pray for God to show you areas in your life that are not honoring to Him. forgive those who have hurt you. When you forgive those who have hurt you in the past, you can walk in freedom in the present and your heart is free of unforgiveness, bitterness, and stones of anger, bitterness, resentment.

So they asked Him, saying, “Teacher, but when will these things be? And what sign will there be when these things are about to take place?”
And He said: “Take heed that you not be deceived. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and, ‘The time has drawn near.’ Therefore[b] do not go after them. But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first, but the end will not come immediately.”
10 Then He said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. 11 And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven. 12 But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and rulers for My name’s sake. 13 But it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony. 14 Therefore settle it in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you will answer; 15 for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist. 16 You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives and friends; and they will put some of you to death. 17 And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. 18 But not a hair of your head shall be lost. 19 By your patience possess your souls.

The Destruction of Jerusalem

20 “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. 22 For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. 23 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. 24 And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

The Coming of the Son of Man

25 “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; 26 men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”

The Parable of the Fig Tree

29 Then He spoke to them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. 30 When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near. 31 So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. 32 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place. 33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

The Importance of Watching

34 “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. 35 For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy[c] to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

We have already begun to see these things happen! Nations are rising up against nations; We see pestilence; We see destruction; We see famine; Many nations despise Israel. People's love all over the earth have begun to grow cold. Apathy, Sin, lukewarmness abound. Men's hearts are failing them because of fear and hardness of hearts. But their is hope in Jesus! Jesus wants to give you hope today. Jesus wants to give you strength today!

Read This Passage: 2 Corinthians 5:14-17, " 14 For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; 15 and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again. 16 Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."

This is the beauty of the gospel! Despite how the world is falling apart, Christ wants to take your sin, impurity, addictions, relationship problems, brokenness, unforgiveness, and make everything new, BRAND NEW!

Crying out

mannamotion.com/2659238We read in Psalm 106:44, "Nevertheless He regarded their affliction, When He heard their cry;"

In Romans 10:13 we read, "For whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

In the Old Testament, people constantly cried out to God, and He would hear them and answer them. Many times, the Lord would answer with grace and mercy and relieve suffering.

In the New Testament, we read where God answers the cry of the lost by sending Jesus Christ to save them from their sins.

Won't you cry out to Jesus today?

Jesus wants to answer your cry.

Maybe daily you are crying out, longing and hoping for something greater or different. Maybe you long for a change.

Maybe you long for hope.

Are you hopeless?

Today, Jesus wants to give you hope and Salvation.
Jesus wants to heal your heart.

Cry out to Jesus today.

The Light in The Darkness

Currently, we live in a very datk time in history. Almost everyday, we read of tragedies, horrors.
In John 16:33 we read, "33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will[d] have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

In this passage, Jesus tells His followers that tribulation and trouble will almost certainly happen, but they should not loose hope. Jesus Christ has overcome and conquered all the suffering and hardship in the world.

Tribulation is an unfortunate fact of life that is almost guaranteed to happen. I know there are people in Ukraine who are experiencing immense suffering because of Russia invading and the fighting of the seperatists in Eastern Ukraine. ISIS has unleashed a horrific assault on countless Christians and American and British hostages. In America there has countless incidents of tragic, fatal shootings have claimed the lives of may innocent civillians. We read of worldwide natural disasters which have claimed the lives of millions. The Ebola virus has wiped out many helpless lives.Wild fires in California have damaged countless acres of property and homes and buildings. Twelve years ago I  had great tragedy in my life when a 250,00 pound tractor trailer, going 65 mph, t-boned my vehicle, directly behind my seat. This left me lifeless with a hemmoraging brain. Later in the hospital I had 6 paralyzing strokes. I spent 40 days in a coma, where my family prayed and read God's Holy Bible over me each hour of the forty days. I suffered a severe Brain injury and I spent 72 days in the hospital and I am still not 100%. Yet God has been faithful and has continued to heal me and will continue to heal me. It seems that everywhere we look tragedy, death, disaster, and disease continue to ravage innocent lives.

You might be asking, "How can you claim that Jesus has overcome all the suffering in the world?" I know that, because when people do not only look at their suffering, but fix their eyes on Jesus, He can take control of their lives and calm the fiercest storm.

I know that in my story, my family and friends chose not to be overcome with grief and sorrow because of my situation twelve years ago.

Rather than sinking into despair and hopelessness as they looked at my lifeless body in that coma, my family chose to fix their attention on and place their hope and faith in Jesus. Many people simply give up hope when a dear one has been pronounced as having no hope. However, my family chose to pray to God in faith for my healing and they read the words of my Holy Bible over my broken body during those forty days I was in the hospital.

Today, I am almost done with my bachelors degree at Liberty University. As I write this, I just finished running 5 miles and I enjoy a blessed life of hope and purpose.  I thank God for healing me.

Maybe for you, you have lost hope that you or your loved one will ever recieve healing. Maybe you live a life of depression everyday. Maybe your life seems miserable.

Today Jesus wants to set you free from hopelessness and despair.Jesus wants to give you freedom from the sin which has held you captive for years. Place your faith in Jesus today and believe in His death, Burial, and Resurrection is able to save you from your sins. Because of the Power of the Cross of Jesus Christ, today you can experience forgiveness,  freedom, and salvation from your sins.

Jesus wants to heal your heart today of all the pain inside. Jesus asks you to forgive those who have wronged you.

Because of the cross of Jesus Christ, today each of you can experience physical, emotional, and psychological healing today.

Ask Jesus to come into your heart today and forgive you of the sin which has seperated you from Him for years. Pray and place your faith in Jesus and in His perfect, sacrificial death on the Cross of Calvary to pay for your sins. In Romans 6:23 we read, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Pray and recieve this gift of eternal life today! Today, Jesus wants to heal you physically and mentally. Continue to pray to Jesus Christ for your physical healing!

Jesus has overcome all your suffering, heartache, loneliness, and despair today. Today, I challenge you to fix your eyes on Jesus, who alone can give you comfort, strength, and healing.

Today, Jesus wants to shine light into your dark, hopeless situation.

Developing a Thankful Heart

This past Sunday I was at a church in South Africa. The church is located in a very less- fortunate area. I was amazed at the people's genuineness. I was amazed at the kindness of the church staff and the respectfulness of the audience. When the pastor got up to make anouncements. He claimed how the church needed to pray for those individuals in other countries who were suffering from some sort of hardship. He expressed how his congregation had so much to be thankful for. This amazed me. These dear people did not have many of the things I viewed as normal necessities.

After I preached, nearly everyone in the congregation warmly greeted me and thanked me for my sermon.

I believe if each of us could strive to live our lives out of thankfulness, each of us would see our life in a completely different perspective. I believe our lives would greatly improve, simply because we were thankful for the things God has blessed us with. Think of all the people in other parts of the world who have far less than you will ever have. Think of how blessed and fortunate you are.

Become a person of gratitude today. Strive to know God in a personal way today by placing your faith in Jesus Christ and in His dying on the cross for you for your salvation.Thank God for your many blessings today. Your outlook on life will change!

Certainty, unchanging hope, love, purpose in the Midst of uncertainty

Hebrews 13:8 claims, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever."

This verse heralds a truth which few people are feeling today. We look at the world around us and we see chaos, bombings, beheadings, murders, theft, and even people being crucified, and we are filled with uncertainty and despair. Maybe for you, your life has been wrecked by disease family conflict, depression, unfaithfulness from a spouse, death of a loved one,or evena fear of the unkown or unforgiveness or bitterness towards a family member or friend. Maybe for you, you feel as if you have no purpose left in life. Maybe you feel completely hopeless, alone, or bitter. You may feel as if no body on earth loves you or even cares about you. Maybe you have even looked at different religious groups or people who claim to be Christians and you feel as if there is no hope in life. Well there is a real Jesus who wants to give you hope and salvation today. Jesus is the one Person who has shaped History more than any other person in the history of mankind.

Well, I have news for you, there is hope for you today. Jesus Christ, the Savior of mankind, is the one Divine Son of God who came to this earth, and died for you so that you might experience His love, His amazing, unending love, and have eternal life and salvation from your sins. Jesus Christ wants to give you salvation, hope, and purpose today. Jesus is the same everyday and He will always be in the business of offering salvation to mankind. However, one day He will return to earth and will take all His Children home to heaven. Make the choice today to accept Christ Jesus into your heart to be your Lord and Savior and ask him to forgive you of your sins and become your Lord and Master.

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
