It's so important if you have a tbi or any kind of medical issue to stay moving. Don't let your mind get lazy. Don't let yourself sit around and do nothing. Stay moving. When you keep your mind stimulated and stay active, you are much less likely to fall into depression or any other kind of mental fatigue or restlessness. Stay focused and don't let your mind become lazy. In my own experience, I have found that the times that I experience the greatest periods of depression or anxiety are during the times when I allow myself to get lazy doing nothing to better myself or anybody else's day. Maybe you can't get up and run or walk, then just sit up and read a book or call somebody to wish them a good day. Don't let your mind fall into complacency; always be active, either trying to brighten someone else's day or improving your own skill in some skill or task. It can be something as small as writing a letter, calling somebody, or walking the dog, or taking a stroll through the neighborhood. The point I'm trying to make is to stay moving mentally or physically or both, which is the better. A great way to do this is take two small dumbells and lift them in the air five times, then curl them five times, then lift them up five times.
Never allow yourself to become too lazy.
I know it can feel so good to sit on the couch for long hours and do nothing but watch TV. Yes we need our rest, but it is so important to keep our minds and/or bodies stimulated in order for us to stay in our purpose P- (passion-stay doing what your passionate about) U-(Stay in unity with others who share your passions) R-(Stay responsible) P.-(Keep thinking and speaking Positive, Empowering Thoughts) O-(Others-always look for ways to benefit others) S-(Do excerscises/activities to help Your Self) E-(Everyday- Keep practicing these principles everyday).
I gaurantee that if you work on not allowing yourself to become lazy and apply these principles of P-U-R-P-O-S-E, your life will greatly improve.
